Tänäkin vuonna se onnistuu Ääniasemalla, kun lavalle pyrkii housebandi Pompeijin tuhon lisäksi Jyväskylässä tällä hetkellä majaileva Ërsh sekä Berliinistä paikalle singahtava Mathieu Sylvestre. What would Valentine’s Day be without a dose of romantic noise?
Once again this year, you can get just that at Ääniasema, where not only the house band Pompeijin Tuho will take the stage, but also Ërsh, currently residing in Jyväskylä, and Mathieu Sylvestre, flying in from Berlin. Each of them brings along a delightfully unruly noise arsenal hidden in their pouch, so grab a friend by the arm and come soak in the atmosphere! The evening end with an open jam session, so bring your own noisemakers.

Mathieu Sylvestre:
Field Recordings and analog synthesizers are the main sources of the sound processed by Mathieu Sylvestre. Noises and natural sounds are interwoven and articulated in electrified sound narratives between aural synaesthesia and spatial vibrations.
The live electronic sound performances based on improvised patterns have been evolving show after show and highlight boundaries between analog sound textures and the core of electronic vibrations that focuses on bringing noise music a plastic and physical approach.
Autodidact musician based in Berlin, Germany since 2010, he came from France to Noise Music after 10 years as vocalist and guitarist in rock music field. With guitars, cello, effect pedals and contact microphones, he first experimented on sounds and noises tocwork on origin of vibrations by straight analog means. After guitar noise experiments he developed sound pieces from field recordings and Moog analog synthesizers sound sources.
After hundreds of shows since 2010 in Europe and worldwide the work is constantly enriched by different contexts and places. Mathieu Sylvestre performed in several performance festivals and art events, in art galleries as music performer or as performance artist.

On this project I work with cassette tapes I have been recording for a duration of more than ten years. The collected samples are further compiled to form new combinations of various sounds. These compilations I will then further process in live performances and to make stable installations to spaces. No sounds are synchronized and any rhythm created will be a coincidence of overlapping fragments.
Artist names I have been working under include Ernesto Aeroflot, Instant Stasis, HGMPIT and Teemu Kiiskilä Elektroninen just to name a few. Been a member in bands such as UTU, Minä ja Nieminen, Masterendi, Dark Bottle, Flags of Unity, Ylinen ja Alinen, At The End, Junkus Minor. I have been releasing music as an independent artist since year 2000.
