OPEN CALL FOR SPRIN 2026

Suggest an exhibition or art event / project to Taidetila Hoppa. We encourage especially artists working with media, sound and comic art to apply!

The space can also be used as a studio if it includes a contact with audience. The duration can be between 1 to 3 weeks, which includes building and disassembling. If you supervise the exhibition / event yourself you can freely decide the opening hours.

Things to be mentioned in your application:

  • Wish for the rent period
  • The length of the rent period
  • An informal description of your exhibition of project, maximum of A4 / 3000 characters
  • Short biography of yourself as an artist or artist group, max. 700 characters.

Rent: 125€ per week

We don’t charge commission for sold art. You can also inquire possibility for accommodation.

Rent includes access to gallery space (upstairs) for rental time. The use of the basement is not included.

Tenant is responsible for:

  • Building and disassembling of the exhibition
  • The gallery space has to be in the same conditions as it was in the beginning of the rental period, if cleaning or maintenance is needed, the tenant is charged 50€ per hour plus expences
  • Transportation of the artwork 
  • Insurances of the artwork
  • Marketing materials (press release, pictures and written material of the exhibition or event and the artist) need to be sent via email 3 weeks prior to the exhibition.
  • Opening of the exhibition

Hopanpohja ry is responsible for:

  • Supervising the exhibition
  • Sharing marketing materials via social media and digital event platforms
  • Sharing the press release written by the artist to local media
  • Making the poster from a picture sent by the artist and sharing them locally

Notice that the gallery space can be used for other activities outside the exhibition’s opening hours if suitable.

CONTINUOUS OPEN CALL:

If your event is shorter than a week you can always ask for one or two night periods: a free public event 25€ per evening, private or event with admission fee 50€ per evening . These events will be outside of the opening hours of the ongoing exhibition.
